awesome... just awesome. I love the grungy dirty bluesy feel you gave this. the heavily filtered vox are a great touch too.. sounds likie something from a Cowboy Bebop soundtrack (great show, with great music). OOh... those guitar stabs starting around 4:40 are delicious! I must have them... give them to me! ...m... lots of atmospherey chaos towards the end... just fuckin' awesome. Well done indeed sirs

It's totaly different than the "Broadway" style original .
In your cover the sadness gets more angry and it's very well done

I also like the stabbing guitar around 4:40 but oh my goodness, the Saxamaphone! Just kills me. Hits repeat. This all starts outs sounding like some sort of Spaghetti showdown....when the chorus hits, are you using the mando on the screetching part? "la lah la la lah".....the middle eight, it just breaks down to its essesence, then it gets all swirly...Then the stab. How this whole thing culminates is just a work of heart and soul.

Coming back after a few more listens, I do have some criticism to raise: I think the song is a bit too long. You've treated this song differently than we did (in a good way) and I just think this new treatment calls for an approach that is not necessarily the same as ours (whether our original is too long or not, I'll let someone other than myself decide). In other words I think you should just cut some of those many words out (retelling it or telling a different story in less)! This, to make the different parts of the song more effective and a bit shorter.
I still really like the controlled chaos that seems to wait around every corner!

Halaka have made some great pop songs ('On My Carpet', 'Bike Race') but I think they're in the greatest elements when constructing a beautifully chaotic epic like this. To my considerations it fully justifies the eight minutes. The violin I think is a great touch (reminded me a little of the Bats, actually). Spectacular ending, too. I think this one just might get my vote

The guitar has great clarity. Great emotion in your voice. Oh shit cover me again one day.... Please!

Just gotta say, I love these vocals of yours, great job in this, and the chorus just sounds powerful in every single one Fuckin' shit, this is amazing, great work and I love how it gets harder and harder as the song goes along. By the time around 6 minutes, it just sounds hardcore, there's something that you have in your vocals in the chorus that just makes it original but fucking powerful, I dig And yep, I agree with theblacklodge on it sounding chaotic, which is awesome, I really love how the song comes together Excellent cover dude

i love the chorus as well, that filter is definately cool. the transitions are sweet too, so subtle, like you dont realize at first that something new has been added until about a half minute later and you're just like where did that come from.

I love how much room noise is in the clean vocal track. It really makes your recordings more of a personal experience. I feel like I was there when you were playing this.
Anyway. Again, excellent production. So many cool things going on. Brutal guitar stabs. Horns? Ambience? Warble?
Great violin. Who plays?
This is so fucking good, guys.

I don't know what to say. I'm blown away.
Vocals are performed brilliantly. The acoustic guitar has such a warm tone that seeps into your insides and twists and contorts you completely. The drums are recorded perfectly. The entire mix works extremely well. All the various horns and other odd instruments you've tossed in work so freaking well.
A totally mindblowing experience!

You really capture an atmosphere in this track performance and prodution wise. Got a Nirvana vibe to it with better vox - more passionate. Great drums and love the duel acoustics the sax and violin combo is like Heroin and Dylan's Black Diamond Bay Classic track great job everyone

Nice tune man, sounds good to my half-drunken ears. Yeah, I know, it's 9:30am & I'm half-drunken. (Joys of working overnight) Anyhow, this is damn cool. Vocals are stunning & thought provoking. Nice atmosphere, with many twists. This is great....congratulations on your win.

nice, nuts-ass blowdrone chromium backpedal of new tune's old groove. I can see the people playing this tune, it's got all the grunts and flumpy buttterness in everyone's face right there in front of the emix.
very memorable track, stands out like green in a pile of feces. a big pile on a mountain.
