Can you handle 7 minutes of This?
Well thats plus about 2 for my dial up so....?... oh shit its taking a while to buffer. Shit if only Australia could get its act together and have a more competitive Cable deal out there I would be listening to this sooner.... shit its still only 43% Can you handle 15 minutes of This?... Oh shit i do crap on....its a cold night and its keeping my fingers warm I guess..... Oh cool 70%!!!! ..
The guitar playing is really very beautiful and envokes emotions that didn't prepare me for the kicking in of the more upbeat guitar. I love the unique soulful intensity of the voice. The lyrics really are very captivating. I love the line...Why'd you give it to me you bastard!! You really do capture an excellent sound with the guitar and you really do know how to make your music very fucking cool. That voice has an amazing level of desperation to it thats so darn cool....
I love the way you admit you never even wanted to sing this bit. Its got that very darn comedy feeling to it where it played in such a way it could be conveyed as serious...

mmmm... great guitar tone. The effects on the voice are funky, and the progression is great, esp. the interrupted cadence at 2.10, that's awesome.
The lead guitar is, like, spiky, sharp & hard, I like, like.
I dunno. It's Halaka. I like.
The ending. I like.
I was gonna say sommat like,'Y'know, at about the 5, 6 minute mark I was getting a little bored of the progression,maybe something else could slot in there to set off the rest.'
But then I thought... but hang on... I didn't. I can imagine someone getting bored about then [imaginarypersongetsboredzzz], but I didn't get bored, the repetition just seemed... right...and not repetitive. It worked.

interestingly, i never asked for this, so empathetically, I'm glad that man in song understands how i feel. this is stopher's manglepie. I am glad this was made under sober conditions. were the drums more tarmac or aluminium >tarmac.
definetely tarmac>aluminum for the crinkling of unrhythmisized notebeats. which is for the bester.

The drums are so solid. Such a great foundation. I could even have appreciated them a tad stronger in the mix. The acoustic guitar sound is so pure and upfront. Great drive. Expressive singing that melds with the lead guitar and creates an overall angst that is epic in its effect on the listener.
"I never even wanted it in the first place" ... that sums up so much of life.

Great songwritting :clapping:. You are a good guitarist and quite good vocalist. But the most important is that you play with you heart. The end is very original, "true" and mabye I like it most. Bravo

I was pretty sure I had commented on this already. Oh well.
I don't think 7 minutes is long enough. You sound like you are pretty upset about the whole thing, and I think it's only fair to get your listeners down to your level. Make us regret having ever hitting the play button.
I thought that's what Halaka was all about.
Another great track in your library of great tracks.
